2018 TBR Pile Challenge

Tämä haaste tulee täydelliseen saumaan - kirjahyllyä koristamassa on ollut jo todella kauan kasa kirjoja, joita en vain yksinkertaisesti ole saanut luettua. Osa kirjoista ei ole kiinnostanut, osan lukeminen on lykkääntynyt eteenpäin muiden kirjojen viedessä niiden paikan. Joten tässä se on, 12 kirjaa, jotka ovat olleet TBR-listalla jo yli vuoden. Näistä suurin osa on löytynyt myös omasta kirjahyllystä yli vuoden, eli nyt on todellakin aika korjata tilanne!

2018 POPSUGAR reading challenge

Ai jaha, eikö niitä haasteita ollutkaan vielä tarpeeksi? No, pikkujuttuja, Popsugarin kirjahaasteen olen printannut itselleni 2015 lähtien, enkä ajatellut tehdä tästä vuodesta poikkeusta. Literary Voyage Around The World 2018

Ai miten niin niitä haasteita ei ole ollut jo tarpeeksi? Mutta no, onhan niitä kirjojakin vaan niin maan perkuleesti, että pakkohan ensi vuoteen on pakko jotain lisähaastetta ottaa! Eihän se olisi hauskaa, jos kirjan saisi valita vapaasti, kaiken maailman haasteet luovat lisää hauskuutta uuden kirjan etsimiseen. Kaiken lisäksi tämä haaste sopii erinomaisen hyvin yhteen Eurooppa-haasteen kanssa, vaikka tämän haasteen minimimäärä, 25 maata onkin todella paljon verrattuna Eurooppa-haasteen viiteen. Hyllyssä kuitenkin odottaa useampi ympäri maailmaa sijoittuva kirja lukemista, eli tämä tulee olemaan hauskaa!

2018 Library Love Challenge

Kirjasto, oi kirjasto (ja ne myöhästymismaksut, joita on elämän aikana tullut maksettua omaisuuden edestä). Miksi siis olla ottamatta osaa haasteeseen, jonka tarkoituksena on kannattaa paikallisia kirjastoja ja säästää rahaa. Kirjat ovat kalliita, myös ne amazonin muutaman punnan paperbackit, kun niihin lisää postikulut ja ostaa useamman. Siksi kirjasto on synonyymi pelastukselle.

Tavoitteena on lukea 24 kirjaston kirjaa vuoden aikana. Tämä ei tule olemaan kovin suuri haaste, yhdistettynä muihin lukuhaasteisiin suorastaan inhimillinen ja helppo. Meidän pikkukylän paikallinen kirjasto on kaiken lisäksi aivan mahtava, vaikka siellä tuleekin käytyä aivan liian harvoin; kaupungissa koulussa käydessä kirjasto on helposti saatavilla kadun toisella puolella, kun taas paikalliseen kirjastoon on pidempi matka.

2018 AtoZ Reading Challenge

Tähän haasteeseen olen tutustunut fanfictionin parissa, mutta kirjojen kanssa tämä on minulle uutta. Haastavaakin tämä tulee luultavasti olemaan, täytyy toivoa, että kirjastot tarjoavat myös harvinaisemmilla alkukirjaimilla alkavia kirjoja.

 A to Z, this is something I've before done with fanfiction. With books, this is new to me. Especially, when I live in Finland, and we don't really use letters B, C, F, Q, X, Z etc in here. Also, my English isn't that good, which means really short book reviews - but I don't really think that matters. At least for me, the idea is what matters.

Book Riot's 2018 Read Harder Challenge

Aah, 24 ihanaa haastetta. On oikeastaan sääli, että en voi aloittaa vielä näiden haasteiden suorittamista vielä puoleentoista viikkoon. Book Riotin haasteesta löytyy monenlaista tehtävää. Haasteen järjestäjä on kirjakauppa, joka lupaa sen suorittajille alennuskoodin verkkokauppaansa, mutta se ei estä sitä faktaa, että haaste tulee olemaan mielenkiintoinen, ja sen suorittaminen tulee olemaan hauskaa. En tämänkään haasteen kanssa halua ottaa liian tosissani, mutta kunnianhimoisiahan tässä kuitenkin ollaan ja parhaaseen pyritään!

2018 European Reading Challenge

Tarkoituksena on lukea eri Euroopan maihin sijoittuvia kirjoja. Suomalaiselle ulkomaille sijoittuvat kirjat ovat tuttu juttu, ja tähän haasteeseen voisi ottaa helposti lisätwistiä - Ruotsiin sijoittuvan kirjan voisi lukea ruotsiksi ja muistella espanjaa niin paljon, että sinne sijoittuvan kirjan voisi lukea alkuperäiskielellä. Tavoitteena on toki Five Star - Deluxe entourage -titteli, johon ei vaadita "kuin" viiden kirjan lukeminen. Lukuaika on 1.1.2018-31.1.2019, eli myös aikaa on ruhtinaallisesti.

 As an European, I've read plenty of books taking place in different European countries. The whole Europe is familiar place to me, I've travelled all around the continent. Living in Finland also means reading lot of translated literature, which means lots of books taking place in different European countries. I am trying to reach the five star title, Deluxe entourage. I'm not going to do reviews - my english isn't good enough to do that! Even I am not doing reviews, I will challenge myself little more: I want to read book taking Place in Sweden, in Swedish... maybe.
